Bio
I was born in Chicago in the middle of February and I am influenced by both Pisces and Aquarius. I was raised on the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under Georg Solti and I have been spoiled by that, ever since.
My greatest influences have been Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Mahler, and Wagner. I was trained in Orchestral Composition, Harmony, Theory, and Counterpoint at Lane Tech Preparatory School (the merely Lane Tech High School).
I also studied under Al Melgard (the old Chicago Stadium Theatre Organist) and at the Sherwood Conservatory of Music where I studied Pipe Organ Technique.
I have moved away from performance and have focused on composition. I use the power of the computer sequencer in Sonar Producer 5, and the power of VCT and DXi Plug Ins, to generate the orchestral sounds and new age sounds I want.
I am fond of East West Orchestra, Native Instruments, and Cameleon 5000, along with Rapture. I use a Roland ES70 and a Valdesta Digital Grand Piano for midi input.
I currently live in Lutz, Florida which is an old lumber mill stop just north of Tampa. It still has some sleepy qualities about it and I will live here until they too, start to erode into the noise and lights of the city.
I live on a beautiful lake which is a major source of inspiration. I am, after all, a water sign.
