MichelleMelonie is a singer/songwriter whose only comfort is, and will always be, her music. Even though she began playing the guitar at age 10, it was only after coming to terms with life-changing experiences while attending an American university that she found herself being able to express her emotions through song-writing on a different level for the first time in 2005.
Since then, MichelleMelonie has written and performed her original songs at various venues and events in her home country of Trinidad and Tobago. However, as time went by, the desire to pursue music as a career became increasingly difficult to ignore. And so, in 2012, she inescapably made the leap of faith to embark on her life's passion to perform as a professional artiste.
With musical influences like Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Sam Cooke, The Carpenters and many others, MichelleMelonie learnt the importance of music first having an impact on the artiste herself/himself. In keeping with this philosophy, it is no surprise that all her songs were initially written to console and uplift herself and then subsequently encouraged to share those feelings with others through music.
As she moves along this musical journey to discover what lies ahead, she hopes that her passion for song-writing continues to lead her to share alternative insights into life and love with others.
