A QUICK NOTE:
I'm Michelle Suesens. I am a singer/songwriter. I’m constantly being inspired, and strive to be inspiring. I think that music is essential in doing this. I have come to realize that nothing is more exciting to me than singing and playing my music in front of a crowd. Although I found it too personal at first, I now love to share my music and I intend to do just that. I work hard every day at pursuing my dream, and I urge you to please consider me.

Lyrics

Done

Written By: Michelle Suesens

Everyday I wake up imagining it’ll change today
Cause every time you’re away I miss you in my head
But the person you are in mind is never who you are when you show up
When you speak up those words never come out when I think of you
And whenever you’re here I hate you for what you do to me, who you made me become.
Where’s the woman I loved?

Well I’m done with it.
I’m done with it.
Yeah I’m done with it.
I’m done with it.

I’m afraid of me when I’m with you
Never knowing what I’ll do or who I’ll lose cause of you
You can’t trick me anymore, playing with my mind and you don’t even realize you’re fucking with me.
And I feel bad cause you don’t know what you’re doing and you just don’t know any better
Or do you, and I’ve been tricked into believing that too.

Well I’m done with it.
I’m done with it.
Yeah I’m done with it.
I’m done with it.

I’m done with you.
And every time I hear your name or hear a stupid jealous story of someone insecure and too proud to admit it only when I think of who I was back then and how unhealthy I lived then I just might be reminded of you.

But I’m ready to go now
I think I’m ready to admit that I deserve better and take the risk of never loving again cause I’m just sick of you blaming everything on me when I know its just your own insecurity.

Back To You

Written By: Michelle Suesens

In this helplessly beautiful day I cannot help but remember the way your face lights up in the summer sun lifting me with energy and love

And the breeze seems to say,
Life’s too short to let it pass by
Words and reasons too much to wonder why
If you’re tired, close your eyes, and find

Find a way back to the times when we were small life without any worries at all
And my sky was bluer and my sun a little more bright
Can I find the person you were that day and make this turn out right

And if ever my smile gets away from me, I remember we are meant to be
I can still see into your eyes, and I can clearly hear your voice in my mind

I can hear you say,
Do you know when it’s been too long without any change to help you move on.
If you’re tired close your eyes and find

Find a way back to the times when we were small life without any worries at all
And my sky was bluer and my sun a little more bright
Can I make you smell the air that day, make you see the night

Live it up one day you’ll see to make this what it has to be. Then maybe someday I will find…

Find a way back to the times when you would call
You loved me like there was no one else in the world
And my sky was bluer and my sun a little more bright
Can I find the person you were that day and make this turn out right
back to you.

Not This Time

Written By: Michelle Suesens

You've been gone so long, and I've played my part so well.
I'm good
I'm fine
I'm laughing all the time.
So don't look back, I'll block out what you say. Life's just one big game anyway.

So if your heart is broken
You've gotta keep on going
Don't let this defeat you
Move on now, I bet I can beat you to the finish line where we've finally left each other behind. And all these times I've tried, saying, One More Time.

If you can live without him,
go on then live without him.
Cause now that it's been so long and you've drifted so far, I think it's kinda nice where you are.
No need to remember what was good, cause it's gone and I know what to do.
They say I'll be a better person for this, but I'd rather have been with you.

So if your heart is broken
You've gotta keep on going
Don't let this defeat you
Move on now, I bet I can beat you to the finish line where we've finally left each other behind. And all these times I've tried, saying, One More Time.

When everyone knows that it's fallen apart, don't let them know that you've fallen apart.
Keep on going
Keep on moving
Pull the phone from my hand.
It's been my problem, always falling, this time I am going to stand.

So if your heart is broken
You've gotta keep on going
Don't let this defeat you
Move on now, I bet I can beat you to the finish line where we've finally left each other behind.

And all these times I cried, no Not This Time.
