Mickey Cash is currently touring the South East United States with the Lick N’ Gravey Band, from Southern Florida to Virginia, Outer Banks of North Carolina to Nashville, appearing at such venues as Opry Land on the Ernest Tubbs stage, the coveted Cat’s Cradle in Chapel Hill North Carolina, and the Morning Show on local Jacksonville television and the list goes on.
The band keeps a rigorous schedule and are excited to share the Nashville bill with Devon Allman’s Honeytribe in Saint Augustine Florida, and will be headlining The Lincolnville Festival, as the phone rings with new and exciting opportunities EVERY DAY!!!!
Mickey and the band are promoting a duet album currently being played on local radio stations in Nashville Ten, St Augustine and Daytona Fla, simply entitled Mickey Cash and Dewey Via, with an EXCITING BRAND NEW Mickey Cash album in the works, with hits(already among our live crowds) like Nickel Annie Long, and Heart of Stone. Mickey has been performing in and around the St. Augustine area on and off for about four years, with some very successful ventures to Memphis and Nashville to participate in a family project with her father Gordon Cash, of the legendary Osborne Brothers, and Jennie C. Media is no stranger to Mickey Cash, as she WAS the cover of Old City Life Magazine April 2009, with several pages devoted to an interview article and photos. Mickey was also a featured artist in “Crank It” magazine summer 2009 and a quote by T J Royal, “ Cash shows off those pipes in a prototype country ballad, leaving you wanting to hear a lot more,” tells the story. Mickey recently appeared on the channel 4 television show “Good Morning Jacksonville”(with additional interview footage available on line), as well as countless local newspaper articles and reports.
Lick N’ Gravey band is a project that has evolved over the past 4 years, beginning in the Outer banks of North Carolina with local Virginia sensation and guitar picker Dewey Via, and a fiery little lady named Mickey Cash, with local Outer Banks legend, “ Possum” the washboard player, playing Virginia and Carolina, eventually with the duo of Mickey and Dewey making a splash landing in St Augustine Fl. As Mickey’s ventures to Nashville took her away from St Augustine, Dewey kept the “Lick N’ Gravey” name ongoing, joining forces with local prolific singer/songwriter, Italian born Rita “Rubino” Frere (fluent in both Italian and English), sister of local and national sensation Lou Rubino. The band continued performing up and down the East Coast with Thunderboy Mike Martin on bass, fresh in from Tennesse ,off the road , where he performed with Delbert McClinton and the like, and Slim Dandy, a young buck from St Augustine, on drums, performing an array of original material that has been well received by young and old alike both North and South!!. When Mickey Cash returned from her travels, it just made sense to put together these powerful forces to form “Mickey Cash with the Lick N’ Gravey band”! The new sound is very exciting as we are continually writing, and daily in the studio preparing a BRAND NEW MICKEY CASH Project!
