Bio

a folk singer/songwriter from the shores of Lough Neagh, Ardboe, County Tyrone, Ireland is the latest sensation to hit the Irish music folk scene. Mickey, who has been writing, singing and playing music from an early age, has released his debut album, 'Carefully Crafted', which consists entirely of Mickey's original material.

Mickey has played support to the legendary Chieftains, Cara Dillon, steve cooney, Francis Blackn and Bagatelle, and has taken the Irish music scene by storm; he has now been confirmed to support the Chieftains on their 50th Anniversary tour in October 2009.

Drawing influences from Christy Moore and Luke Kelly, Mickey has developed his own identity, saying “I am like myself - I don't think I sound like anyone” in a recent interview with popular folk artist and producer Column Sands.

James McGarrity, from JW Promotions, says: “Mickey Coleman is another example of the class and calibre of new musicians in the Province. This talented singer/songwriter has produced a sensational debut album and is set for great things”.

Mickey Coleman's talent for penning songs, which ,in some way or another, have shaped his life, and which have captured the hearts of many in his live performances, has been well documented in songs such as
'The Brantry Boy', 'My Coalisland Girl' and 'Kilkeel Fisherman'
