Bio

Mick Lee, born NYC, moved to London as a teenager, kicking and screaming. Didn't wanna go - turned out to be a good thing, though. London was a hotbed of music, where musicians actually played with each other just for the hell of it.

First pro gig with Graham Bond, one of the daddies of the British R&B scene. Over 20 years in London, also played with Alexis Korner, Chris Wood of Traffic, Paul Kossoff of Free, Rick Gretch of Blind Faith, Jim Litherland of Colliseum, Danny McIntosh jr. Herbie Flowers, Graham Broad, Davey Graham, Glenn Nightingale of the Gap Band and Lemmy of Motorhead...just to name a few. Got a free musical education at the hands of some of the world's real players, for which I am extremely grateful.

Moved from London to the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland...seven wonderful years in one of the most beautiful places on earth, before moving to Vermont in '92. Cold here in winter - summer's like paradise. Now I help other musicians make a living, while writing and keeping an eye open for a suitable publisher. There are some fabulous players in Vermont, too. Mike Bernal, Dave and Matt Nerback, Kip Meaker, Chuck Eller, Paul Asbell, Dave Grippo - just part of a long list. One thing I've recently discovered... I'll never stop writing...ideas come happenin' out of nowhere, and they're impossible to ignore...unexpected lil' gifts from....
