As hip hop find’s itself struggling with its own identity, fans are very likely to be blinded by the shine of MIC-ROB (pronounced Mike Rob) Reno, Nevada’s new son of urban/ hip hop. Though a hard worker, the allure of working a nine to five continues to lose the battle to , holding microphones DJ'ing events & clubs while sending messages through music. So hip hop, meet your destiny.

Album "Strange" put MIC-ROB on the map creating a strong buzz from Reno, NV all the way to Massachusetts. ROBS stage got a little bigger, adding band Jelly Bread to the arsenal while he headlined at Houston’s Biggest club “Club Hush” and made his way to be featured attraction for Spring Break in Havasu AZ & Playground Music fest in Irvine CA 2011'. After a year removed from "Strange" MIC-ROB signed with Battle Born Records and is back at it with his brand new E P "Cool Cat Sound"
Filled with live instrumentation, presents separation from plain music to fine art. Digitally released 7/22/2011.
With Hit radio single "CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT" & "OUTTA THIS WORLD" continuously climbing the charts on (97.3 Swag fm) & inthemix show on (102.9 Wild)
"COOL CAT SOUND E P" put MIC-ROB back in the thrown as one of the hottest emcees to date with timeless music earning Best Solo Album & Song 2011' ~R.H.H.A.

Within its half decade, Mic-Rob has caught on expediently. In 2005 Mic began working on his street album “Story to tell” a recount of Mic growing up in Los Angeles and the ills of the music biz. In mid 2006, Mic-Rob appeared on “The Capitalists mix tape vol.1”, as an original mix tape combining original content over up and coming producers music to represent the state of hip hop today.
With a strong internet following ROB again went to the booth and began his new and forthcoming album “Strange” his debut studio album. Without a major backing Mic-Rob has earned himself a major look from hip hop fans alike. The album delightfully forgets the idiocies rap music has taken in the mainstream, and simply affirms that good music is and will always be timeless.

In early 2009 Mic teamed up with crooner and former Drummer for bands “Audiovent and Under the Influence of Giants” Jamin Wilcox on smash hit “I know What You’re Doing” top the Wild top twenty countdown for three straight weeks. Also available on Itunes.

Mic has also performed in Arizona, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas Sacramento and San Francisco, as well as multiple festivals & consistent show openings in Reno, Tahoe NV. For superstars like Grammy Award winning T.I., Snoop Dog, Paul Wall, Chamillonare, Brandy, The Ying Yang Twins, Too Short, Digital Underground, Baby Bash, Biz Markie, Naughty By Nature , Mike Jones, Suga Free, Paul Wall, Chamillionare, Mista Fab, San Quinn, The Luniz, The Clipse, Fabolous, Bone Thugs in Harmony and Yukmouth to name a few. Let’s just say this is an artist that’s focuses on chemistry above the popular rap expectations.
As styles, faces and crews may change, the brotha from LA reminds you that it is was and forever will be about the music.

2009 ROBS album “Strange: The Adventures of Microphone Robinson” hit the racks with street hit’s
“Be Like Me” and “Good God
