Bio
Microexpressions are a two-piece band from the hilly city of Jelenia Gora, Poland. They deliver an eclectic blend of indie, synthpop, postpunk, electronic and ambient. Their songs combine guitar energy with experimental electronics and catchy pop ambience.
It is not their first musical project but, as they both admit, it seems to be the first one that gives them a chance to realize their primary ambitions towards creating independent and experimental music.
Deep Snow EP, their newest album that is to be released in March 2010, was mainly inspired by the modern trends in alternative music. It is influenced by organic electronics of Animal Collective and shaped by neosoul sounds of TV On The Radio. It also reveals fascination with experimental Menomomena arrangements, or finally, the classical indie guitar of performers such as Pavement and Modest Mouse, not to mention the far-flung musical interests of the band members.
