Biography

We mix psychedelic folk, stoner rock, punk, garage and grunge. Crunchy guitar and tight drumming with melodic vocals and sweet harmonies. We put a lot of focus into our live shows, often collaborating with local artists. Our music video for "Ne'er Do Well" on our 7-song EP (Micro Organs and her Ugly Aura) is currently in the editing process and we expect to have it completed mid-March. We were in The Coast's Best of New Music issue in 2010 and have played numerous shows in and around the maritimes since late 2009, including Halifax Pop Explosion in 2010.

Lyrics

Microbes

Written By: Micro Organs

You wish you knew me
When I was younger,
A little bit braver,
but that's not right now

When we look at time and space
and everything that's base
It can be too overwhelming to take

Why do I expect
You to hold me up when I'm distressed
I can see the truth through your trees
Yet you'll never admit that you know what I mean
You know what I mean

That's not right now
That's not right now
Go on, and lie down
You're okay for now...

Do you remember when we were microbes?
Floating up from a brine we rose
To breathe in the air
and start rooting hair
And one day,
all days will no longer be there

Why do I expect
Our stars to line up in complete randomness
The chaos is calling
and often appalling to see
Yet you still won't admit
that you know what I mean
Cuz our love's a disease

That's not right now
That's not right now
Go on, and lie down
You're okay for now...
