Middle Finger Salute

Middle Finger Salute began in late 2005 aged just 13 and 15, as friends who met through school and at a Stiff Little Fingers gig, this spurred them onto form a band,

Since then the band have been one of only a handful of bands from the UK on the Vans Warped Tour, being officially booked onto the tour for the 2009 and 2010 East Coast runs, with only 3 other UK acts each year, all of whom are large Indie or Major Label bands..

in 2010 Middle Finger Salute played their first SXSW festival, playing 4 showcases, one official and 3 daytime parties, including playing the British Embassy - the band came to SXSW with no other parties, and left with UK management, US management and a European booking agent.

Over the years MFS have gone on to support their influences such as Rancid, Stiff Little Fingers, Buzzcocks, Cock Sparrer, Misfits and many many more across the UK and Europe.

As well as being on the Vans Warped Tour, the band have been fortunate enough to be selected as the only unsigned band on both the 2009 and 2010 official tour compilation Cd's through SideOneDummy Records!

In 2009 the band were in Big Cheese Magazine's "Best Of 2008" and on the covermounted "Best Of 08" Cd, which featured bands including Gaslight Anthem, Slipknot, Airbourne and Cancer Bats,

The bands favourite press bit was being interviewed by childhood hero Rick Thorne, BMX pro on ESPN

Now the band are in search of a US booking agent and with another chance for Warped Tour on the cards, the band hope to use SXSW 2011 to network, and use their experiences and memories from 2010 to find a suitable booking agent in the USA!

MFS have another European Tour coming up in December 2010, and hope that 2011 will be as exciting if not more so than 2010..
