Projection, is the way this band shows their aptitude. Middleground is a determined rock act, that is anxious to let it out. Their innovative originals prove to be the main highlight of the new industry of music today.
Middleground formed in 2003 in Bolton, Ontario and consisted of Steve, Dan, Jay, and Dave. Diversely influenced by bands like Creed, Incubus, and Metallica, Middleground would potentially pull off a truly unique sound. The summer of 2004 brought great stress to the band when the departure of Dave was announced. Soon after Dave left the band, Middleground’s search for a new drummer was in effect, however the search did not last very long. The band scouted Mike Filier, a family member and long time friend of the band. During Middleground’s search for a new drummer, they stumbled across Gianmike, a guitarist who would increase the intensity of their sound. With his ability to deliver an infectious harmony, Gianmike has proved to be an asset to Middleground.
After playing a few local shows, Middleground decided that it was time to take their music to a higher level and devote their time in producing their forthcoming EP entitled “All is Awake,” a combination of hard rock instrumentals and potent expressions that would inevitably induce a larger audience.
Opening up for bands like Gob, has allowed Middleground to become familiar in larger venues and stretch their stage presence. Through intense live performances and their passion for integrity, Middleground has officially achieved innermost tranquility.
