"So It Goes - This Feeling Track of the Day"

Dundee lads shine bright with jangly guitars and a Libs-esque lose yourself chorus.

For fans of The Libertines, The Snuts, The Velvet Hands, Voodoos, The Estevans - This Feeling / GigSlutz

"You'll Be Just Fine - Single Review"

Midnight Alleys make a strong return with their new track ‘You’ll Be Just Fine’, available on 21st February.

The Dundee hailing rockers regarded as ‘High Quality Psychedelic Rock ‘n’ Roll’ bring their fresh style in the form of this tasty number. Their unique rock/indie sound has gathered an impressive collective since forming back in 2017 and they never fail to captivate their audience.

This group stem their writing style from a variant of influences ranging from The Pixies to Allen Ginsberg. Initially forming under a different name in 2017, 2018 was a very successful year for the boys. They had a range of gigs and headline shows across Scotland. Playing with the likes of Matt Hollywood & The Bad Feelings (Ex The Brian Jones Town Massacre), Vida and SHEAFS.

‘You’ll Be Just Fine’ initially hits your ears as The Doors with a Surfboard, whilst the vocals gently hover between Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler. The groove is guaranteed to get your feet going as Drums, Bass, Guitar, and Organ all effortlessly meld together to produce these silky psychedelic tunes.

The sound waves will transport you to their world of beach waves in what feels like a Volkswagon Camper Van being driven by Jerry Garcia.

Make no mistake, these young lads know exactly what they’re doing, and this can be easily spotted with their use of Rhythm and Dynamics.

Oh, and the Organ Solo is a nice touch.

The Psych-Rock group has headlined gigs in Glasgow, Manchester, and Dundee & with other artists such as: The Wedding Present (sold out), Declan Welsh and The Decadent West, The Kundalini Genie & Parliamo.

Although Midnight Alleys are fairly fresh to the scene, they are certainly making a name for themselves, and after each gig they always leave more positive vibes than there were prior to arrival.

As a statement to their success, they have achieved 13.5k listens on Spotify and 2.5k likes and followers on Facebook.

Be sure to keep an eye out for these guys in 2020 as they no doubt will return… - Gray Wolf Records

"Devil's Daydream no4 - Single Review"

With 2019 being a successful year for them from the beginning these boys kicked off the year playing along side the likes of Declan Welsh and the Decadent West and The Wedding Present for a sold out show. The boys from Dundee definitely have something to prove and if that doesn’t show from the number of streams from their previous single then I don’t know what does.

You’re met right away with the funky psychedelic bass line and rhythm guitar which captures you for the entirety of the song, I almost felt like I had stepped back in time a little as I was feeling a little bit mid 60’s. It’s tight from the get go! The vocals enter and that’s a totally different ball game altogether with the ever changing counts letting them just flow freely.

Backing vocals at the chorus give it a nice touch and really show off that there is space for harmonies with everything else that is happening, and again giving me that kinna 60’s hippy vibe, with majority of their songs taking influence from this era! Almost like Velvet Underground.

With it being so full from start to finish I feel like I was almost there to to witness this masterpiece come together, and it’s clear how hard they worked to get this together. It’s definitely a work of art that can be appreciated with a drink in hand a night full of good tunes.

If you haven’t already checked it out I highly suggest you do! - Discovery Music
