Back in the day Russell opened up for the likes of Alice Cooper, The Guess Who, New York Dolls and many others. Before that he grew up flitting between England and Chicago, jamming with musicians on both side of the Atlantic; which clearly informed his bluesy playing, to flattering effect, as we see here. He's since done studio work throughout Chicago, and now has turned his attention to his own music, streamlining years of experience into classy slices (even if it cuts out a little abruptly at the end). - Loudersound

What a nice surprise they were…with Bob Russell on guitar and vocals, Les Merrihew on drums, Stefin Gordon on bass and vocals, Rob Francis on keys, and Rene R Andreotta on guitar and vocals. Midnight Transit Co. is an original band from Tucson Arizona whose music is influenced by some of the greatest rock bands of the 60’s and 70’s.
Midnight Transit Co. was formed by five extremely talented musicians. Their music combines American and British artist influence along with their own creative song writing skills.
Their music is reminiscent but fresh - familiar yet exciting! If you took all of the best elements of a number of classic bands and threw in a huge amount of creativity - you have MTC.
