Bio

Midnight High is a hard-rocking, high-energy rock band from Astoria, NY. Live performance is their forte, with a strong take-no-prisoners attitude on stage. The music is heavy but with a distinct groove. All four guys are heavily influenced by classic rock, funk, hip-hop and reggae as well as 90’s metal and grunge. They bring the best of all worlds, the old and the new, and their sound has been compared to Pink Floyd, Sublime and Alice in Chains simultaneously.
Midnight High has been playing shows throughout NYC consistently since August of 2009, and currently plays every few weeks at venues all over Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Their fan base is steadily growing and plans are in the works for a 3-song EP within the next 6 months. The approach of summer has sparked a flurry of activity in the Midnight High camp, and ambitions are high after their constant gigging. The band always works hard, but things are kicking up to overdrive. New venues, new merchandise, and a burning desire to expand beyond the confines of NYC are driving Midnight High to keep up the pace of success.
The band formed at Stony Brook University while all four members were going to school there. All came from different backgrounds, but had a shared a desire to rekindle that musical fire that seemed to have mostly died out by the mid-2000’s. A solid following grew up around the band at the University, and after testing out a few line-ups and band names the four guys settled on the Midnight High moniker and decided to move off campus. They played around mid-Eastern Suffolk throughout 2009, and in 2010 they moved to Astoria to try their luck in the Big Apple. They now collaborate with many other New York City bands and have built a strong following.
