Midnight Siren release "Instead Of Sleeping" a collection of Jazz/Blues material that comes straight from the heart.
Something Different: Like I said this isn't my typical review and frankly I loved taking in something totally different for a change, I am sure others will feel the same way once they hear this material.
Instruments: Not only can Karen carry songs on her own but with all the piano/bass and other instruments as well as effects that are intertwined in the material, it's clear this group has it all.

Bio
Karen Maria Capo, co-songwriter and lead vocalist of Midnight Siren, began her career on Broadway at the age of 11 in the musical DUDE by the authors of HAIR. She performed in various plays and cabarets until she completed her studies at the prestigious School of Performing Arts in New York.
After moving West to pursue a career as a songwriter and vocalist in several Los Angeles-area original bands, Karen set attendance records and performed in such well-known venues as Club Lingerie, FM Station and The World Famous Palomino Club. At the same time, Karen Maria had the pleasure of having a national release of "Can I Come By Tonight?" for which she penned the lyrics. She is a member of ASCAP and the Actors Equity Association. While living in California, Karen Maria has appeared in concert with Al Jarreau, Leif Garrett, Kirstie Alley and Frank Stallone. She also performed in various venues throughout South Florida, including the Fontainebleau Hilton in Miami Beach and Planet Hollywood on South Beach.
John Kelly, born and raised in Los Angeles, CA started playing Piano at the age of five. Johns music career began at the age of 16 when he started traveling across the United States and Europe performing music. While living in Los Angeles, John worked as an Arranger, Engineer, Programmer and Producer for Hangar 14 Studios.
John is the lead Songwriter and Arranger for Contemporary smooth jazz band
Midnight Siren. The band recently completed production of their debut CD titled
Instead of Sleeping. John composes instrumental music for Film, Television, commercials and Industrial and Corporate video. He has composed music for Farm Aid, Fujitsu corporate video, Cable and Fox Television. John is a member of ASCAP.
