Midnight Success plays high energy, uptempo rock music that simultaneously plays tribute to 1960s and 1970s rock, soul and funk while "keeping it fresh" for indie and dance punk fans. In their debut EP, The Gambit Sessions, one can hear a wide variety of influences from arena rock riffs to funky, soulful sax, to proggy guitar licks, to hip hop beats and more.
Midnight Success started at the Post Office in 06 and was initially called Cellardoor. JJ, Gus and Travis were original members. Some things happened, they were pretty intense. Heads rolled, figuratively. There were promotions and demotions, commotions and other things too. Literally. In the middle of 08, like something out of a John Grisham novel, The Gambit was formed with the addition of Eric on bass. There was a lot of fun shows and friends made along the way. Then at the beginning of 2010 Ted and Bobby joined the arsenal, filling out the sound. Midnight Success was born!
