The best kept secret in music
Press
I had never seen this band before but had been hearing of them for quite some time. Jason's (Clownboy) birthday party at Frienz in Madison presented the opportunity to finally see them play. I really did not know what to expect since this band does strictly covers. Most cover bands with a female singer cover the same old female rock songs. Not so with Mighty Electric. Lead vocalist Jen was a great suprise. Althought there are some of the typical chick rock songs they do perform, there are many that most girls would not take on vocally.
The dance floor stayed full the entire night, right up to the last song. What a great crowd! We were having an absolute blast. When a band plays and sings as well as Mighty Electric, that is just bound to happen wherever they are playing. These are obviously some very talented musicians who are having fun doing what they do. I generally do not go for bands that do strictly covers, but Mighty Electric is definitely the exception to that rule.

Bio
Mighty Electric was formed in January of 2003 in an abandoned office building by 4 guys who wanted to play music and have fun doing so. With the emphasis on drawing many different types of people in the crowd, a set list formed comprising of different types of music from "fresh radio" stuff to the "good ol' stand-by's."
Since its inception, ME has gone through some changes. Adding Jen on lead vocals and filling the vacant drummer position with Brent has brought the band to a whole new level.
