Bio
For 18 years, Mighty Gospel Sound has been performing worldwide to packed audiences in churches, conventions, colleges and more. Known as one of the top Gospel Groups in South Africa and in particular Johannesburg, Mighty Gospel Sound is more than just music. They are very devoted to local HIV/AID's education and uplifting their community through outreach and humanitarian projects.
Key performances and milestones:
In 1999 they performed at the Prophetic Music Arts and Culture Conference in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) and the UCFI (United Christian Fellowship International) in Daleville, Alabama (USA).
In 2000 they performed at a world conference in Indianapolis, Indiana (USA) for an audience of about 35 000, hosted by Assemblies of God in which they represented the whole continent of Africa sharing the stage with the likes of Dallas Holm, Carrol Cymbal, Denmark Mass Choir, John Starnes, etc.
In 2001 the group also toured the U.S.A. for two months. This tour included performances in different concerts and seminars in cities / states such as Florida; Springfield, Missouri; Dallas, Texas; etc.
In 2002 MGS was also invited to the USA to feature in several conferences such as the Black Ministers Convention, First A / G Africa Day, 2002 All Church Ministries Convention, UCFI, etc.
They have recently toured Manchester, England; Florida and Alabama (USA) and Virgin Islands for about three months. They were also proclaimed to be the first South African gospel group / artists to perform in the St Croix Island.
Initiated and implemented the Pretoria Interdenominational Youth Organization (PIYO). This organization is made of different interdenominational organizations and institutions namely Mamelodi Interdom, Atteridgeville, Soulsville, Soshanguve Youth Pull together, Ladies Christian Project, Mamelodi Vista University, Pretoria University and Pretoria Technikon with a soul purpose of creating a networking system to support music, arts and talent.
