Mighty Mystic "Roll With Me"

"Roll with me" is a nice radio track that has a club bounce. On the dancehall track "Burner", Illbash helps the flow that features what sounds like ill darth vader inspired notes on keys.

"Mighty Mystic ...the new face of reggae"

The young dynamic DJ known as Mighty Mystic is rocking the dancehall scene abroad and is set to do the same thing here in Jamaica.
Although Might Mystic, whose real name is Kevin Holness, grew up and still resides in the USA, he has not forgotten his roots and this is obvious in his newly released single 'Black People Anthem', on the Label One/Split2nd Entertainment label for US based producer Mike Cip.
Mystic, in a song says, "mi naw sell out mi colour/Mi naw sell out mi creed/Mi naw sell out mi people nor di weed/mi naw forget Jamaica wid de cool cool breeze."
This song is a powerful rendition that reminds us of the struggles of black people as a nation that one should never forget.
Even though Mighty Mystic has a sound educational backround, his first choice is to fulfill his childhood dreams of becoming a DJ and from the looks of things, his dreams are coming true.
He has worked with several top jamaican artists, both on stage and in singing. He teamed up with Tanto Metro & Devonte in 2003 to do his hit single "Been So Long" which did well in terms of airplay. It is also still on the playlist of several disc jockeys. This song was also featured on several US compilation CD's.
Mighty Mystic has also recorded "Fire in your Eyes" on the popular VP Records "All Out" Riddim, and on Greensleeves "Red Alert" riddim with a song of the same title. These singles also boast good airplay.
Mystic has toured extensivly with the likes of artists such as Vybes Cartel, Mr. Easy, The very hot group T.O.K., Tanto Metro & Devonte, Wayne Marshall, Baby Cham, and Mr. Vegas, to name a few. You can logon to www.mightymystic.com to see performance pictures of his "Get Familiar tour". He is currently in the studio's with producer Mike Cip and DJ Master Millions working on his debut album set to be released in August 2004. Reggae Fans will be pleasantly surprised at the level of talent and versatility this young artist has shown in songs like "How Could You" and "Be with You".
His single "Off Da Dro" is also very popular amongst his listeners.
Mighty Mystic was born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica but migrated to the United States at an early age. However, this did not deter him from wanting to become a DJ and got his chance while attending high school, when a friend who knew of his desire and talent called him on stage at a school dance in Boston. He tour down the place and has not stopped since. He proved he is a force to be reckoned with in the smashing performance he gave at Bills Bar in Boston, MA on Saturday April 10th 2004.
Mystic plans to do extensive work with other Jamaican artists in the near future.
Watch out for the simmering Volcano. His about to erupt and there is no stopping him.
