Bio
The "Mighty Roots Reggae Band" origins go back to the end of the 80's when a band called "Strictly Roots" sprouted in the region of Solothurn, Switzerland. A few years and lots of concerts later, the band re-formed under the name "Roots Vibration Reggae Band", but stayed true to their musical roots. In 1997, with new musicians and singers, the band started searching for a new and final name. The "Mighty Roots Reggae Band" was born. They've since played numerous concerts, including, among others, with "The Wailers" and "Dubversive". Since 2006, the band consists of LucasTuttle (lead voc, g ), Jasmin Eichmann (back voc), Karolina Lisowski (back voc), Rolf Hugo (b), Jörg Bader (keys), Hans Holliger (dr), Daniel Hächler (perc), Doris Kessler (sax) und Francesco Bettamin (tr, flgh). In August 2006 the 9 member band in its new formation and with a brand new repertoire once again hit the stage. At the start of 2007 they'll release their new single "Shake Loose" in cooperation with Raphael Aguiar and Freakout Records. Mighty Roots - Roots Rock Reggae with history, tradition and an extraordinary sound.
