"Mighty Sideshow Confirm Opening Gigs For Rock Never Stops & Ted Nugent Tours"

Rock music is not necessarily the first thing that comes to mind when one mentions Tennessee, but Chattanooga natives MIGHTY SIDESHOW is working to change that. While furiously composing material for a new album & in intense discussions for label representation, the quartet has been confirmed to perform at one of the Rock Never Stops festival dates (featuring Tesla, Vince Neil, Jackyl & Skid Row) and a string of dates opening for the 'Motor City Madman' himself, Ted Nugent!

MIGHTY SIDESHOW's brand of energetic rock has landed them support slots in the past with national acts, such as doubleDrive, Full Devil Jacket, Cracker, and of course, Candlebox. Their live show is ample evidence that the band is a hungry machine willing to go the distance towards success, and the material is just what the rock scene needs to refresh an otherwise stale environment! "It's an aggressive, polished sound with lyrics that are thought-provoking. I think it's a very original sound, but you can hear influences like Alice in Chains, Godsmack and Sevendust and others in the hard backbeat."

"Mighty Sideshow"

The singer has a cool voice. The first song whipped the crowd into the mood with a good, driving beat. Reminded me a bit of early Metallica. The crowd really started getting into this band after the second song. Heads started moving in the crowd and the responses grew loader after each song. Not only was the music great (I bought their CD afterwards), I liked the personalities of the band. Especially when they began to videotape the band during the musical break. It was a great opening set with the only downfall being the brief 1/2 hour playing time.

"Mighty Sideshow to the Main Stage"

It doesn't take a big city scene or a major record label for a band to find success - rock band Mighty Sideshow is proof of this. Hailing from Chattanooga, Tenn., the members of Mighty Sideshow have paved their own way in the music world. The band's independently-released album Part of Something, completed in 2002, is selling by the thousands and their songs "All Over" and "Mirror" are getting national radio airplay. Mighty Sideshow has toured extensively for the past year, with such acts as Seether, Quiet Riot, Slaves On Dope and Ted Nugent. In addition to touring, Mighty Sideshow is working on its next album, which will be the band's major label debut. But even though they'll be in the recording studio for much of their time this fall, the members of Mighty Sideshow plan to keep touring.

Bio

The band began spreading out regionally, including a residency at Club La Vela in Panama City Beach, Florida, where they played to record-setting crowds. Mighty Sideshow released a 10-song live demo on Nightmare Records in 2000 and sold an impressive 4,000 units of the unofficial release.

Their "Part of Something" album launched the title track single, which was such a staple on Active Rock Radio in 2003 that it was featured in that year’s Top 100 on nearly a dozen radio stations nationwide. The album, produced by Jeff Tomei (Matchbox 20, Smashing Pumpkins, Jerry Cantrell), has sold nearly 10,000 units and gave Mighty Sideshow the opportunity to tour with the likes of Jackyl, Tesla, Sponge, Saliva, Seether, 3 Doors Down, and Ted Nugent and Many More. They also secured spots on the Vans Warped Tour, Rock Never Stops Tour, and The Girls Gone Wild Rocks America Tour, and more.

Mighty Sideshow is following-up to their wildly successful 2002 debut, with their latest smash "Dare You To Think", released on Medicinal Records. The band spent much of 2004 recording and finalizing their record deal, and hitting the road with a vengeance in support of the new record. The song "99 Ways" quickly found it's way onto many radio stations across the country and was the number 1, most requested song on WRXR in Chattanooga. Mighty Sideshow is rapidly becoming a "household-name" as they gain more "air-play" all over the country and take thier new album on the road in 2005.
