Miho & Diego Duo

Miho & Diego Duo was formed in July, 2006 by Miho Takekawa (marimba/piano) and Diego Coy (quena/zampona/guitar/vocals). The Duo has been invited to perform at Flute Quest Festival 2006 in Kenmore, Festival Latino 2006 in Auburn, White Center Music Night Series in White Center, Columbia City Art Walk in Columbia City, Hispanic Heritage Month Event in Olympia, Seattle Fiestas Patrias in Seattle Center, Country Village in Bothell, plus many more places in Washington State. The group's unique combination of warm and natural wood sounds attracts a wide audience, and Miho and Diego’s new approach takes the audience on a musical trip from Japan to South America . The Duo’s repertoire covers an amazingly wide range of styles, including Andean, traditional South American, Brazilian, jazz, Latin jazz, Japanese as well as their original compositions. The Duo released their first CD, Quenarimba in the fall of 2006. In October, 2006 the Duo took their first trip to Southern California to perform in the Palm Desert area and in December 2006 and January 2007 the Duo performed at Palm Desert in Southern California as well as the San Francisco area.
