The dry seasons over, the rains coming down,
Washing away the dirt from the dusty ground.
Causing flooding and damage to the nations surrounds,
But it’ll never touch, the spirit of my town.
My town has a servo, a truck stop and a school,
And when I was a student, I broke every single rule.
In a town of not many where your neighbours are your best mates,
When the rain is coming down, we don’t hesitate.
[Chorus]
Cause the sky goes grey,
And it starts to cry,
There’s no excuses that I would buy.
To stop you dancing in the rain. Yeah
So come on dance in the rain,
Wash away you sorrow and your pain.
Come out for a good time today,
When we’re all dancing in the rain.
So you can walk the walk,
And you can talk the talk,
But can you dance in the rain.
Kick up your heels,
Ready for a good time,
When we dance in the rain.
No need to change ,
Just come as you are,
Catch a plane or drive a car.
Doesn’t matter how you get here tonight.
[Chorus]
Cause the sky goes grey,
And it starts to cry,
There’s no excuses that I would buy.
To stop you dancing in the rain. Yeah
So come on dance in the rain,
Wash away you sorrow and your pain.
Come out for a good time today,
When we’re all dancing in the rain.
[Chorus]
Cause the sky goes grey,
And it starts to cry,
There’s no excuses that I would buy.
To stop you dancing in the rain. Yeah
So come on dance in the rain,
Wash away you sorrow and your pain.
Come out for a good time today,
When we’re all dancing in the rain.
Come out for a good time today,
When we’re all dancing in the rain.
