Bio
Mike
Charette is a singer-songwriter from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. At a
very young age, Mike had a passion for writing with a keen attachment to
music. One Christmas morning, a gift in the form of a six string guitar
opened his eyes and cleared his mind. He would sit in his room and
focus for hours on end teaching himself how to play. Music became his
life, his escape, and he quickly discovered a hidden instrument within
himself, his voice. With a wide range and a distinct vocal tone, Mike
would quickly realize he could express himself to the world through his
music.
Growing through the years, his music has been featured on the television
series Hard Rock Medical, he has performed at Indie Week Canada, The
Legendary Gayety Theatre, and he has shared the stage with Juno award
winner Serena Ryder, French Canadian album of the year and male artist
of the year Stef Paquette, Canadian Guitar Festival winner Jamie Dupuis
and many more. With a long list of accomplishments, Mike has more to add
to the list. His first solo EP “What Would You Do?” earned a nomination
for Vocal Performance of the year at the 2015 Northern Ontario Music
and Film awards and in 2016 he took home first place at the Live &
Original Music Series in Collingwood Ontario.
Mike Charette's journey into the music industry has just begun. Every
lyric, every note, and every performance comes from the heart. His
powerful vocals and unique style will leave you inspired.
