Like others, he has learned from the pioneers of hip hop yet adds a unique blend of fun and character to today's music. He doesn't proclaim to be the best -He just brings you the music that stirs deep within his soul. MIKE got his first taste of rap at the age of 12, when he came upon his older brother listening to Jay-Z's infamous Reasonable Doubt album. It was at this moment, that MIKE became aware of his passion, and his thirst for knowledge about the rap game became more than just urge, it became a certainty. MIKE believes "being well cultured as a student of music, will add to your diversity and creativity".

It wasn't long before he caught the eye of Executive Producer Julian Booth of Slip and Slide records who recognized MIKE's talent instantly. Julian then introduced MIKE to Rick Ross who took a special interest in this young visionary. Unfortunately, this dream was short lived as MIKE was soon forced to leave Miami and return to the streets of New York. True to his undying passion for music, it wasn’t long before MIKE continued his journey toward success learning very valuable lessons along the way. MIKE's fan base began to grow as a result of touring the underground circuit performing live at some of the tri state's most respected showcases {Mental Supreme's Training Camp Showcase / Development Program, The Ron Alexander Show, Club 923 and The Shrine - just to name a few}. Simultaneously his online presence has grown immensely as well. He has averaged over 2,000 profile views daily on Myspace.com and has debuted at # 1 on the Myspace N.J. charts for over 4 consecutive months.

Recently, MIKE has teamed up with Universal Music Group’s own musical genius - Frankie Biggz, who has produced artists such as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Kayne West and Diddy, to create music that is not only trend setting and original but will give the world one more reason to love hip hop / good music again. MIKE has also teamed up with the Dream Team, who recently produced albums for artists such as LL Cool J, NAS, Jay-Z, Ciara, 50 Cent and many more. It is almost certainty with producers such as this behind MIKE’s music, success is definite. In conjunction with his increasingly growing online presence and street credibility, MIKE has also gained the support of The Source Magazine and can be found within the pages of the magazine for the months of July, August and September. It was through The Source Magazine that MIKE got the unique opportunity to meet with The Legendary LL Cool J who immediately took a liking to his humble, yet confident swagger and captivating music. Mike has had the opportunity to open in concerts for artists such as LL Cool J, Omarion, Neyo, and Day 26. Listeners often get that same feeling when they hear tracks such as "Just A Little" or "Get A Way" which are some of MIKE's latest songs to date. MIKE has also gained the support of Founder of the Hip Hop Summit, Dr. Benjamin Chavis as well as VH1's MC Serch who is helping to move Mike forward.
