Bio

From an early age, Mike has been drawn to many forms of music, especially those that are visually evocative. “I’ve always been aware of how music adds to the overall experience of a film, especially with drama.” Of many interests, his love of music, and film started early and shaped his life in many ways.

At age twelve Mike got his first guitar and life was never the same. Through high school, college and beyond, he played guitar and bass in various rock bands and wrote some songs along the way. While still performing with The Wonk Brothers, The Freelance Vandals and Second Wind, Mike began exploring creating music of a much more personal nature. “Rock and roll is great, but I also needed to express my larger musical ideas, grown from my love of sci-fi and classical music.”

His personal compositions evoke powerful emotional and visual imagery in the minds of listeners. “I usually start with some kind of visual image in my head, and play off my emotional response to it. I find this to be tremendously inspiring, and I liken it to painting using an emotional pallet.”

Mike is actively seeking placement of his music in films and television. “At any given time, I have about forty new compositions in progress, in various stages of completion.”
