Bio

He almost makes it look easy. Mike Beatz, the South Florida based rap artist and music producer originally from Jamaica, has paid more than his fair share of dues and is now poised to make his grand entrance into the world of commercial success.

As versatile as he is, Mike is proud to have a production resume that includes artists on all ends of the spectrum of hip-hop subgenres, having produced tracks for the grimy New York duo Capone 'n Noreaga to the crossover club friendly T-Pain. One things for sure, Once you turn the radio on you're bound to hear something affiliated with Mr. Beatz.

Mike definately knows how to navigate the business side of the game, bringing his music straight to the ears of upper echelon of the music industry through various mixtape placements and features from artistes such as Freeway, Cappadonna (Wu-Tang Clan), Jeru the Damaja, C-Rayz Walz (MTV’s “Made”), Ty Nitty (Infamous Mobb) and King Sun, as well as others. He's an artist with business savvy, the type of man that uses the word "capital" instead of "money."

On the lyrical side, there's not much that Beatz can't or won't say. Whether he's spittin' a story, talking about relationships, discussing social change, or filling a verse with cleverly crafted metaphors, Mike Beatz is always grabbing the attention he deserves. After opening for such acts as Wu-tang, Nas, Common, Talib kweli, Mos Def and others performing at countless venue's across the country as the other half of Major League, (a well respected hip hop group from south florida), he's ready for the solo limelight.

Running through the learning curve at warp speed, Mike Beatz is proud to admit that he is self taught with everything he does and uses the trial and error method to learn everything he doesn't already know.

Now add to all of his talent and credentials the fact that he has an impressive sense of fashion - so not only does he make it look easy, but he also makes it look fly. Appearing in various magazines, publications and Print media sporting top of the line street wear brands Beatz stood out in a rising trend resulting in sponsorship from the famed Crooks & Castles clothing Brand for his involvement in the soon to be released Monsters Inc. Project.

If there's one thing Mike Beatz wants you to know, it's that he's in music for the longevity.

"People know good music when they hear it." says Beatz. "I strongly doubt i'll have any issues with relevance."
