Mike Brun

Multi-instrumentalist Mike Brun is a musical chameleon. His musical approach has a reputation for being simultaneously wide-ranging and genuine, something exhibited in the projects in which he's been involved over the last year: from playing bass and arranging for songstress Shaina Taub; to contributing compositions and performing in "Folk Wandering", a new musical produced by Fresh Ground Pepper; to finding the time to create a blog wherein he recorded and released a free track of music every twelve days for the entirety of 2011. When he performs his own music, Brun is best described as a singer/songwriter with endearing vocals and catchy but complex tunes. His live band, Mike Brun's Caravan, is a rotating cast that has included guitarist Armand Hirsch, songwriter Jake Snider, actress Kate Ferber, crooner Damon Daunno, saxophonist Jarrett Gilgore, and many others. Because of its felxible ensemble, the Caravan has played large and small venues alike. Mike Brun's Caravan is a great fit on any bill of songwriters that has an indie, jazzy tinge to it.
