Bio
HAIL THE SOUTHWEST KING!
With an unorthodox and skillful delivery, Mike Corleones grasping voice is as raw as it is smooth; both easily appealing to the masses and respected by major artists--proving hes a force to be reckoned with. Corleone is never afraid to rep the southwest.
With over 1,500 copies sold of his new mixtape (released just last month) and a major southwest tour underway, Mike Corleone begins his quest to put his region on the map.
Born Mike Brown in Chicagos southside (Wild Hundreds), Mike witnessed at an early age the final verdicts of street life: death, murder, drugs and addiction. Learning from his experiences Mike found an outlet at the age of twelve with a love for rapping.
In his teens, Mike was dubbed Mike Corleone (from The Godfather movies) by a well known street hustler who admired his natural leadership and his actions speak louder than words attitude. Corleone released his debut album Off in the South with his group, Texas Assassins in early 2002. Noticing his drive to be the best was incomparable to any of his peers or competition, Corleone focused on his solo career and after releasing his second album with the Texas Assassins, released his first solo album Don Status.
Following the success of his first solo release and a rising fan base, Corleone went to work on his most ambitious project ever, the Welcome The Southwest King Mixtape. With over 8,000 albums sold since 2004, Mike Corleone is set to be the first true Heir to the Southwest Throne.
