Mike Del Rio is a 22 year old singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist from New York City. His self-produced independent 2007 release, “Blooming Under Pressure,” an eclectic take on pop-rock, has been critically acclaimed. Currently, Del Rio is working with Adam Pallin (Tom Jones, Little Jackie, Elliot Yamin) in the creation of his full-length album.
In late 2007, Billboard Magazine hailed Del Rio as one of the Top Unsigned talents in the industry as part of the "Billboard Underground" Series.
Mike Del Rio, now accompanied by a full live band, is taking the NYC music scene by storm. With many performances under their belt, the band has performed sold-out shows at Highline Ballroom, Mercury Lounge, The Crazy Donkey, among others, with the likes of The Script, Monty Are I, Ryan Cabrera, Nine Days, Mishka as well as several other breakout acts.
The band plans to tour in the winter of 2009 playing most major markets before doing a headline tour in early 2010 in support of the upcoming release.
