Bio
Mike Dobbins is a hilarious, unique comedic performer that is a staple in New York City's Downtown Comedy Scene. He attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where he studied Political Science and Philosophy though encouraged by peers to ultimately pursue comedy and acting. He was featured in "Time Out New York" magazine which gave him 4 stars for his solo comedic show entitled “A Stand-Upish Set of Koo Koo” and deemed him “profoundly funny in the flesh”. "A Stand-Upish Set of Koo Koo" was just nominated for "best one person show" for the 2007 ECNY Awards. He was a semi-finalist in the 2nd annual Andy Kaufman award in the New York Comedy Festival. Mike studied improvisation at the "Magnet Theater" and "People's Improv Theater" in NYC and at "Sak Comedy Theater" in Orlando, FL which enhanced his already free-flowing delivery from his first performance all the way back to Tyson's Corner, VA 7 years ago. Has been seen in music videos for bands such as "We Are Scientists" and "Rufio", promos (Spike TV), and multiple independent films ("Dog Eat Dog" Lead-Officially selected by Gen Art and Austin Film Festivals in 2005).
