The quartet seamlessly fuses folk, pop and hip-hop to form a sound unlike any other. With abundant musical talent, one might expect a struggle between members trying to showcase themselves, but each part comes together to highlight each others’ talents, giving life to each song.

And The World Makes Sense Again is a disc that’s focused around the singer/songwriter sound, but adds elements that complement that focus. It’s a solid record that sticks out for the right reasons and I’ll be enjoying it again this week and into the next few. - The Soundtrack To Life
The musicians fit the songs together without ego, giving each track the feeling of a mini-world unto itself. It keeps the tension taut. The soaring standout track “Louise” bursts into the chorus with the tantalizing line “You act so discrete, but when we’re in bed...” but, like the lyrics, doesn’t give away too much. Like any good tease, it’ll leave you wanting more. - The Capital Times
“Realization” and “It Was Not Me” whose rock-pop style and choruses have potential to be Top 40 favorites. - Reviewsic
The songs are well-balanced and structured with great melodies. I think the standout track on the album has to be “It Was Not Me” with its opening horns and foottapping rhythm and strumming. - Play B Sides

Bio
Mike Droho & the Compass Rose is a profound musical act that hails from Madison, WI, and has toured tirelessly through out the country over the last three years. Singer songwriter Mike Droho released his first solo CD in 2007, and the following year the group released their debut album These Parts Unknown featuring acclaimed songs such as "Equilibrium" and "Portland." In addition to recently winning the Project M songwriting competition, the group is also fresh off of three showcases at the legendary SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX. Having a one-of-a-kind set up of a guitarist/singer accompanied with classically disciplined electric violin and a stage-shaking beat boxer, the group covers much stylistic ground, jumping from genre to genre, drawing comparisons to Jason Mraz, O.A.R., and OneRepublic. Fans and critics have fell in love with the group, and with their newest release And The World Makes Sense Again.
