""The set of Those Alone merged the best aspects of hauntingly poetic lyrics with the thick, gnarly guitar work of something you could only find from the darkest depths of the 90s grunge rock scene""

“Having seen Those Alone before, I can say that their show was just as engrossing to watch as any I had seen before. Best described as if Alice in Chains met Charles Bukowski and jammed with Joe Satriani, the set of Those Alone merged the best aspects of hauntingly poetic lyrics with the thick, gnarly guitar work of something you could only find from the darkest depths of the 90s grunge rock scene. If you had taken a second to close your eyes, one would have thought that Layne Staley was singing to the packed room. Singer Michael Giammarco comes that close.” - When The Anchor Drops

""One of my favorite aspects of life is finding those little nuggets of surprise in the least expected places"

"One of my favorite aspects of life is finding those little nuggets of surprise in the least expected places. A recent nugget of surprise came in the form of Those Alone after developing a friendship with lead singer, Michael Giammarco. After listening to all available music and liking what I was hearing, I knew Those Alone should be featured on AUM and exposed to a broader audience. Interviewing the guys was quite interesting as you will see, and I'm truly glad I had the chance." - - LeeAnn Hively-Insalaco, An Underground Mainstream (Aug 01, 2011)

Bio

Those Alone's sound as described by the music site When The Anchor Drops "is as if Alice in Chains met Charles Bukowski and jammed with Joe Satriani...Those Alone merges the best aspects of hauntingly poetic lyrics with the thick, gnarly guitar work of something you could only find from the darkest depths of the 90s grunge rock scene"
Hailing from Boston, MA the band is made up of Lead Singer Michael Giammarco, Lead Guitarist Mathew Sarcia, Jason Alton on Bass, and Drummer Charles Brown. Although they are from the Northeast US, Those Alone's sound is heavily influenced by the 90's bands of the Northwest like Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana. Similar to their predecessors they incorporate hard rock, metal, classic rock, and acoustic elements into their songs.
Their first self-produced single "Time" is currently being played on indie radio around the world and is available on iTunes, Spotify, and Amazon. In addition to "Time" the EP "Nebula" includes the dark love song "Hello" which is also making the indie radio rounds. The band broke through to the FM radio dial when 94HJY in Providence, RI featured "Who Needs It All" on the rock show "SoundCheck". "Nebula" the EP is available online for streaming through Soundcloud and the band's social network sites. Hard at work on the road playing shows in the Northeast Those Alone will be heading into the studio soon to record songs for their first official album release.
