Bio
Born: March 9, 1979
in Huntington Beach, CA.
I grew up with classic rock pouring out of the radio speakers. My dad and brother would be working in the garage and I got to listen to what they did. So I heard anything from Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac when my dad was around to AC/DC and Van Halen when my brother was in charge of the garage radio. In the early 90's grunge became big and I became a big Soundgarden and Pearl Jam fan. Too me that was a classic rock rebirth and a much needed one. Even though I've always loved music, I had two great awakenings that inspired me to play guitar and write. The first came in 1999 when I discovered Stevie Ray Vaughan. I was instantly hooked on his passion for playing. Prior to this, I hadn't seen anyone play a guitar the way I thought it should be played but SRV reminded me of my calling and I'll always be fan. After my initial SRV phase ended, I went back into grunge when I got into Alice in Chains. By far, my favorite rock band with Pearl Jam being a close second. As a kid Alice was too dark for me and I couldn't relate, coming into my 20's though I could see now how beautiful and intense there music was. I am forever grateful because along with SRV, they are my greatest influence.
I strongly believe my passion for playing sets me apart from others. Some are impressed by my guitar playing, some my songwriting, some my voice, and some by my stage presence. Every time I perform I improve on all of these and I feel people see more of who I am. The person I know I am, passionate, dedicated, driven to succeed.
