Saxophonist Mike Hamilton has returned to Texas after spending years on the road honing his skills with acts including Savage Garden, Neyo and Coolio. Hamilton says all of the people he has worked for have been interesting and he has learned a lot about the industry from them. Hamilton has recently toured Brazil with the band Marakamundi and done many TV shows with them, they plan to tour in Europe in the coming months. It is a real treat to hear him play as he gives so much emotion to every note. This writer wants to let you know that you should not miss him it you get the chance to see him.

Bio

I was in the house band for the TV show "Live From LA" I have been on the David Letterman show as Music Director for Neyo. I have produced recordings for Interscope, and BGP Records. My recordings include Heart and Soul with the Winans, Thus Spoke Z with CTI, and the solo albums Natural Attraction and Here Together. My music has been described as; "a skillful combination of rhythm & blues, pop, funk and contemporary jazz..." by Kenneth Yarbrough of Boston's WUMB-FM where I won the "Artist of the Year" award. I have been interviewed on TV shows "Boston Mosaic", "Jazz Scene" as well as featured interviews on the show "Live from L.A."
Hamilton has appeared and toured with multi-platinum recording artists such as James Brown, Tyrese, Savage Garden, Coolio, Joe, Ronny Jordan, Jonathan Butler, and Phil Perry. He has performed at the BBC London, the NFL World Bowl IX Halftime Show.the Turn Ben Stein On TV show, and the Today show. He has been featured at the Boston Globe Jazz Festival and the Santa Barbara Jazz Festival. Hamilton performed to standing room only audiences on his Brazil Tour in March 2009. He received his bachelor of music degree from Berklee College of Music where he became an assistant professor in the Contemporary Writing and Production department.Hamilton has written a book for Berklee College focused on "Mixing and Mastering R&B music" set for release in May 2009 and authored one of Berkleemusic’s successful on-line courses (Hip-Hop Writing and Production)
