Lyrics

Picnic

Written By: Mike Head

I brought the wine and cheeses from town. You stuffed the basket and lay the blanket down. How does the time hide like children when we thought skies of incandescent rays, and the clouds played out shapes that lasted for days? It's difficult to want when needs are enough to scatter your brain with a lovely that's always the same as you looking at me seeing through you. And there's no need for always having something to do. Careful someone finds out you are lovin'.

Beginning

Written By: Mike Head

Let's find a place where the clocks don't know us at all
And birds are the only phone number's that circle to call
Somewhere on shores that are empty but defining
Our souls are flitting on air God's been designing

It's just the beginning

I thought you had it all mapped out in style
But walking with you is like running a mile
Eat up the individual, time to time, grow and be free
Nothing in Nature is denied to you and me

It's just the beginning

(whistle)

There's a light unmolested by impurity
I'm on that road now come on and hitch-hike it with me
Open your arms to the wild freshness
Of ourselves on ocean eternally restless

It's just the beginning

Sometimes boughs just grow without retreat
I put love in my pocket and repeat
I'm glad to drop my sweat's winnings
Because something new is always beginning

Sun's Child

Written By: Mike Head

The summer's setting fast
And the algae's on fire

I want to know where the calm sleeps
Where the storm's crazy lover weeps

I am the sun's child

Harness light that's free for all
Emergency dial-up on the call

I am the sun's child
Because One knows I can

The stars are brave enough (x3)
To give the night a smile

No Good-Byes

Written By: Mike Head

The Dipper fell in my eye
Night-time baby, night-time
Forever on my way
My lids caught stars all day

Till I met your energy
Tipped its full capacity
What need for a dotted sky
When you grow one with every sigh

Take care of yourself
Our love is wealth
We'll see each other again
A path for all men

We're here for a stint
Come back in a glint
The deeds are fought and won
And so come undone

And so I look up
If I need help
The Dipper pours out of me
And into the sea

Take care of yourself
Our love is wealth
We'll see each other again
A path for all men

The constellations are our destinations (x2)

Go

Written By: Mike Head

Night falls fast in the village of green
The flowers lick colors from their noses
The people sit and stare at the sun
As it opens and closes

I'm resting on a log after a trek
Through the wood's iron thicket
I booked a plane to the stars
Here's the ticket

We all come apart at the seams
When we ask what it means

And we fly high
The clouds are softer than dreams infer
The senses are stronger
And the gods concur

We can't see but under starlight
The things most important
I grapple for a match
To pitch this fire's portent

We all come apart at the seams
When we ask what it means

To have a gift of freedom
When the lights aren't on
Share the black like its currency
These conditions fall by the lee

It's alright sometimes to dither
When you're young and ignorant
Of the love that comes in time
The mysterious quotient

I'm going to trip a while
In the endless ocean

We all come apart at the seams
When we ask what it means

I don't need a light to know
How your beauty snows
Like in the age when Mastadons go...

It's perfectly safe to say
My me is mine and it's here to stay
I keep a look
For the fruit Eve took (x2)

(whistle)

Photograph

Written By: Mike Head

I took a picture of a bed of roses
And discovered the thorns were as big as our noses
And the only thing that I could do
Was develop the film and give it straight to you

There are so many things that make iron cringe
Cause whether you know it or not were out on the fringe
The elevator is faster than the rich or the poor
When the weeds are greedy and the gardeners snore

No matter how many times they knock on the door
There's some good in this world; it's worth fighting for (x2)

I like that you are you and me are me
Cause happiness is the core and gifts are so free
The ladybug was named by a man who desired
And the lovely in question was immediately hired

Sometimes the weather's lonely and the clouds are strange
Meteorologists classify the constant change
But the sun comes out when we do our chores
The ill and dead of the past are not just lore

No matter how many times they knock on the door
There's some good in this world; it's worth fighting for (x4)

Do, do, do....

Weather of the Mind

Written By: Mike Head

It comes like iron with gum in it's eyes
Cuts down wood where ideas apply
She grows holy Nature in spite
The gold She keeps in her safe is sunlight

And the world turns flamboyantly
The Solar System's anomaly

The sun beats its breath
On the end of Love's death
Every birth's a brand new day
Love finds a way

The stores are all open for the fruits
We glean from the tips of chutes
And the Happy's a sea

And the world turns flamboyantly
The Solar System's anomaly

The sun beats its breath
On the end of Love's death
Every birth's a new day

Love finds a way
Love finds a way

The sun beats it's breath
On the end of death

Love finds a way
Love finds a way

I'm floating like water
To the Earth's daughter
In time the sea our
Hearts will be caught by her (x2)

Strange Places

Written By: Mike Head

You shed light from the river of your hair
The wind falls on it
I'm on the other side of a dream
It keeps me drowning

We're like a team on the wildest ride
Then we do it over
This world smells like a tangerine
The sun bites it

We turn so ridiculously
On our way out to see

Watching the colors can be so sad
The trees love undivided
I'm walking through a mystery
No one knows the answer

Looking for a girl and halcyon
The two grow together
This life seems so circular
The road now is guided

We turn so ridiculously
On our way out to...

Peek over the edge (x3)
And let the waves run free

Looking for love, love, love in the strangest of places
(repeat)
