One day when I was young, in my teenage years, I paid a visit to my aunt’s house with my immediate family. While sitting there alone in the living room, I couldn't help but notice a conversational piece in the shape of a classical guitar sitting there crying for someone to strum it... Who was I to refuse such an offer? :) My little hands reached over there with childlike delight. Careful not to damage anything, I strummed and I strummed. Bam I was addicted!

After that I couldn't stop playing. I first started teaching myself how to play and read notation from a Mel Bay guitar book. It wasn't until High School that I actually had the opportunity to receive real guitar lessons. I took full advantage of that, learning how to play classical guitar pieces and observing others as they played their favorite songs.

While I was learning in High School, I had the opportunity to get involved with the band at the church I was attending. I started off playing solo guitar to old hymnals on my 12 string acoustic guitar during the offerings. Later I merged into the band with an amplified electric guitar. This was a great growing experience for me musically and professionally.

Over time I grew accustomed to being in front of an audience, learning the value and enormous difference a great arrangement can have on the music. Furthermore, I learned how critical it was to utilize a professional quality sound system in order to ensure the success of the bands performance and the establishment of a non-distracting worship atmosphere.

When it comes to musical arrangements, writing songs, and performing them, I have a critical sense to always strive for excellence. Why Not? This is for God! Why shouldn't we do the absolute best we possibly can with the music we play and create to give glory to God?
