The Mike Renick Band, from Cape Girardeau, MO, has been playing together since the summer of 2005. Quickly the six connected with an energy on-stage that spills over into the crowd. The six musicians draw on distinctly different music backgrounds to blend together a toe-tapping groove that brings people to their feet and has them singing the songs in their head days later. The live performace is where the group shines, with improv jams and crowd interaction. Influences include, jam Bands like Grateful Dead and Phish, acoustic rock acts like Dave Matthew Band and a variety of rock, jazz, and blues artists.
