The best kept secret in music

"Car Wash"

Mike Smith's addictive guitar work complements the classic sound of the harp and sax of Johnny Evans. - Todd E. Jones for MVRemix

"Car Wash"

Slidework so hot that guitarist Mike Smith must have to play with asbestos gloves. - The Barman/I-94 Bar (Australia)

"Car Wash"

Mike Smith's guitar playing is understated yet perfectly weighted, mirroring the melody line a la "Voodoo Chile" on the opening track, Stevie Ray slinky Albert Collins simmering on "Gone So Long", and some sledgehammer slidework on "Stop Runnin' Your Mouth', 'Dope Man", and "Broke Down' - Sleazegrinder

"Car Wash"

"Broke Down" would fit right into any Mississippi juke joint with Mike Smith's slide guitar supplying soul pwer shake appeal. - Wally Bangs/Blogcritics.org

"Car Wash"

Mike Smith's guitar sounds like a buzzing angry fly. - All Music Guide

"Car Wash/Mike Smith"

Blistering slide guitar solos - Diana McNary/Detroit News

"Mike Smith/FACE"

Guitarist Mike Smith lays down a variety of whiskey-choked leads, clawing to the front with greasy slide work on "Rabid Scents" and rowdy riffing on "The Way You Move." - Brian McCollum, Free Press Pop Music Writer

"Mike Smith/FACE"

In the past tow and a half years, FACE has played over 300 shows including selling out the Magic Bag Theatre in the Detroit area twice-headlining!!! - michiganartists.com
