"Then Mike Strasser began singing, and what came out of his mouth was a voice somewhere between Lyle Lovett and Roy Orbison. I found myself quietly stunned. I kid you not: This guy is good." Sacramento News & Review; 02/15/07;Jackson Griffith - Sacramento News & Review

"Mark Ostrv KVMR DJ"

"featured quite a few of your songs on my show yesterday...Your stuff is really good...songwriting, music and lyrics were both very good and timely...singing was great too" - KVMR 89.5 Nevada City, CA

"Review of my 2004 CD "alienation café ""

“ His voice almost seems out of time, as if it were lifted from the early 20th-century Carter family recordings…
Strasser's vocals are the key to his song's success. He's a great storyteller.”
C. Nathan Coyle; 9 July 2005 - Rambles
