Yes, and here it is: Mike Wadden - State Of Mind - 11 Tracks – Summer 2009
Mike Wadden has spent years working with other Maritime musicians on
stage and in the recording studio - as a recording engineer, a sound
technician, a musician and vocalist!
His personal recording project has been put on hold time after time.
But in between those other projects for his fellow musicians, he would
jot down ideas for lyrics and melodies for that 'future' full length CD of his own music!
Oh sure, he has released a couple of singles and a CD of Christmas standards,
but this is the first full length CD of his own material!
Mike's love of music is a direct result of his Mom who was a big part of the local music community.
He stared playing piano at the age of 13 and picked up guitar at 17.
Mike fronted his first band, Castaway, in 1998. He left the stage in 1994 to pursue a career as a
recording engineer and a studio owner. Mike returned to the stage in 2003 with the Bobby Currie band.
He launched his solo career in 2007.
His production credits include albums for Howie MacDonald, Brenda Stubbert, Carl MacKenzie,
Bobby Currie, and presently working on a compilation CD for the late great John Morris Rankin.
Mike has appeared on stage with Jimmy Rankin, The Fables, Terry Kelly, Ashley MacIsaac, JP Cormier,
Richard Wood and many others. He has been a sound tech for The Stampeders, Natalie MacMaster,
Bruce Guthro, John Allan Cameron, The Rankins, Rita MacNeil, Doctor Hook, Matt Minglewood,
Gordie Sampson, and Slowcoaster just to name a few!
He was part of the production crew in Ireland for the Global TV Special – The Exiles Return.
Mike's Christmas CD is played every year on local radio. And he as traveled as far as Toronto,
Boston, and The UK in his endeavors.
A pro … with great credentials … a wealth of experience … a creative mind …
the respect of the industry … and yes, finally, his first full length CD of originals!
