Growing up in the urban badlands of Merseyside has formed Mikey’s character: a tough outer shell but with the insight to connect with people and see life as a chance to have some fun!

Inspired by his heroes, that include Timbaland and Eminem, Mikey Matteo has given his beats his own unique sound and created a musical diary that tells the story of his life from childhood, through his teen years to his experiences as a young adult making sense of life in today’s Britain.

Mikey started young, he wrote his first song when he was just ten years old using the only four chords he could play on a battered guitar. Today, as he puts the finishing touches to his purpose built studio, it’s hard to believe that he started producing music on a second-hand ‘Playstation’!

Mikey Matteo burst onto the UK music scene while still in his teens but don’t be fooled by his youth – he‘s got more experience and talent than most people twice his age!

Mikey's mission is to bring about the fusion of big bassline beats with the best catchy pop tunes! And he is already winning hearts and minds all across the UK.
