As the Hip-hop culture continues to evolve and doors are open for new talent, few up-and-comers have the lyrical capabilities, delivery, style and hustler’s mentality that “MIKEY POLO” possesses. Born (Kevin Michael Price), Polo is a 22-year-old rare “trap” hip-hop artist and songwriter from Richmond, Virginia currently residing in Washington, D.C. Polo’s passion for music sparked at the age of 12, realizing he has a gift of rapping. Immaculate flows and freestyling up to 4 songs in a 2-hour studio session is what sets Mikey Polo apart from the rest. With that Momentum, Polo sets out to become the G.O.A.T. Greatest of All Time. Immediately after terminating his recording contract with Lathan Entertainment, Polo decided to self-manage his music career and formed a team and an enterprise L.G.I.G. (Loud Gang Ink Gang) to help facilitate his passion. Generating a lane of his own by way of sound, delivery and catchy hooks, Polo has been compared to artist such as Young Thug and Travis Scott. With a strong appreciation of rap artist Gucci Mane, Polo’s influence was built around him resulting in his growth.

Since the release of Polo’s first Mixtape in 2013 entitled “Y.T.A.N.” on DATPIFF.COM, Polo seeks to creatively communicate to his followers and beyond who he really is and his life experiences. Performing at multiple venues throughout the east coast in front of crowds of 200+, Polo has always been able to grab the attention of many, whether they are new to his artistry or familiar with his work. After the release of Polo’s 3rd Mixtape in 2015 entitled “100,” Polo began to make strong connections in the DMV, New York and Atlanta’s music scene by headlining showcases, hosting popular clubs in the DMV area, and  winning open-mic events. Mikey Polo blew away the judges of  “Who’s Got the Juice,” one of Atlanta’s most popular open mic events.

Heating up the DMV and Atlanta’s music scene with his newly released mixtape, released July 8th 2016 entitled “G.O.A.T. Greatest of All Time” on Spinrilla.com, Polo is setting standards. Polo’s hit single, Pigeons n Krows, premiered on one of D.C.’s hottest Hip-Hop and RnB FM radio stations WPGC 95.5. DJ’s have supported Polo with spins in severalurban and multicultural clubs in the Atlanta, Florida, Chicago, New York and DMV area (credit to DJ Infamous IG: @infamousthedj and DJ Zell IG: @allhaildjzell). Pigeons n Krows has also been featured on 17 popular east coast and national blog sites such as, thisis50.com (freshman year),Microphonebully.com, and TheHypeMagazine.com.
