EP
self-released
Three songs and ten minutes is all this EP offers, but there's more to it than it would seem. "Bitch Lives in the Valley" is a murder ballad with truly disturbing lyrics. "Black Rabbit" is a more of an assault on the senses with its slow-burning guitar work.
We end with "Schukil River" a country song with a dark theme. It's a very nice little EP that leads us to expect more from these guys.

Bio
mikingmihrab is a band from Philadelphia (West, Ardmore, and Manyunk). Formed in June 2004 through craigslist, mikingmihrab started practicing in a split row house basement in West Philly. The landlord claims a Dead Milkmen member used to live there on Buckingham Pl. They got a set together just in time for their first gig: a pagan summer solstice festival (Clark Park). Michael S. Adams (vox/guitar) - a Long Island transplant -and Zach Price (drums) started work on the demo thereafter. After learning the original bassist would be out of town for some shows, mikingmihrab recruited Mike Solwecki into the group to take up the bass.
'Bitch Lives in the Valley' is like a Cash/Cave/Pixies up tempo murder ballad. 'Black Rabbit' would fall right in with the Sonic Youth constituency. 'Schuylkill River' is a folksy story about moving to the city and staying alive inspired by Johnny Cash.
Now coming round their first year of existence, the songs are being performed with greater alacrity and skill. The show at The Fire (5/25/05) was magic and the fan club went wild and for the first time they stole the show. Back to the basement to record a full length record they go.
