Bio
A multi talented musician, Mildsparrow has been performing in the local music scene for over 15 years. Whilst primarily a soloist, Mildsparrow has fronted bands such as The Capitals and The Great Divide. He released his first solo EP Aeroplanet in 2007 and received national airplay with JJJ and much local support from community radio stations RRR and PBS. He has a track appearing on The Sunshine Ponies album (Pop Boomerang Records) released 2010 appearing alongside Angie Heart, Adrian Whitehead, Tim Reid, The Ariel Maps and Skipping Girl Vinegar.
He is now with Mildsparrow and The Migrations - 6 friends with sonic benifits doing a fusion of pop/folk with a splash of blues and soul. They are musical tailors, who use melody and narrative as their threads, and seamlessly stitch together diverse elements of life to form the fabric of songs that are timeless, full of emotion and emphatically honest. Their inventive and passionate musical explorations tell that of a band discovering the measure and depth of their lyrical observations, writing songs that walk a tightrope between awake and asleep, the surreal world being recorded for our aural pleasure.....
Meanwhile, Mildsparrow’s inventive and passionate musical explorations tell a different story-that of an artist discovering the measure and depth of his lyrical observations.
