Mild Stallions

BandPopAlternative

Minimal fun and poppy. Influences include The Beach Boys, Magnetic Fields, Tom Waits, Fleetwood Mac, and Neutral Milk Hotel.

Biography

Mild Stallions started in 2006 with Amy and James. They would casually get together to play James' songs (and play a few shows here and there). In 2007 and 2008 They recorded some songs in their friend Brian Lelko's basement (Known as Lelkoland) on his 4 track machine. James played most of the instruments and wrote the songs, Amy sang, and Brian and his Roommate (Chris Worth of The Caps) helped out as well. These recordings became the "Pocket E.P.". The group played one show as a 5 piece with Brian, Chris, and friend Wiley Hickson of "Total Bros" helping out as the backup band. A few months after the show the band recruited Joel Brophy (formerly of Gingerbread Patriots) to play drums. Now the band is a Trio and is playing live shows which have been met with great responses.

Lyrics

No Sunshine

Written By: James Augustus Hall

You don't have to be my sunshine
You don't have to let the moonlight glow
You don't have to light up nighttime
You just have to let the nighttime go

Fall apart in a wheel you're keeping
circling around, all over town
don't forget the night is getting older
the hear is growing colder
and change is creeping around

It's a turn for the worst your making
going the wrong way down a 2 way street
clean it up and wash it it out with whiskey
clearing the pallet for teams of flavor defeat

You don't have to be my sunshine
You just have to let the moonlight glow
You don't have to light up nighttime
You just have to let the nighttime go

Disaster Strikes

Written By: James Augustus Hall

Disaster Strikes, Typhoons and Airplanes landing right between your eyes
Disaster might, bring us together but it won't keep us together through time
well I was a cynic not so a champion
the guilt gets me every time
so pack up your things kids we're hittin' the streets, we're doing it right this time.
(Rhymed time with time, yeah I know, but it works)
