Miles Ahead

We are a group of experienced and professional musicians that know what is expected of a professional band. We have a solid fan-base, lots of popular music that people love hearing and dancing to, the equipment and knowledge to make sure the sound is professional and not over-bearing, and just straight-up passion and love for what we do. With a trumpet/percussionist to spice it up, and a knack for getting the audience engaged and ready to have a good time, it's nearly impossible for people to have a bad time.

The whole thing began with a jam session. Ricky and Navid made some tunes and decided they could really make music. Knowing that it takes skill, dedication, and originality to make a successful cover band, the two sought to find quality musicians that brought a unique element to the band. Miles was a natural choice, having played with Navid in past endeavors, and the feeling that a trumpet would really diversify the type of music that they could play. Their bassist, Dan, seemingly fell from the heavens, when he one day knocked on the door to the practice space asking if they needed a bassist. Ben was found through the elaborate and meticulous use of smoke signals and bird calls. MIles Ahead was born. The band diligently set out to learn and perfect as many songs as possible, and to bring live entertainment to the masses. All of the members are influenced by different genres, and the song list of the band reflects that.
