Bio
A Sonoma County native, I was introduced to music as a small child by my musician father. I started on sax, then bass guitar in middle school, and acoustic bass in high school. By the age of 16 I was lucky enough to be performing jazz professionally. Since attending Sonoma State University and studying with Mel Graves I've had the pleasure of meeting and playing with a lot of great musicians. Notable music experiences include performances with: George Marsh, Noam Lemish, Randy Vincent, Tyler Blanton, Bryan Bowman, Jason Bodlovich, Matt Rothstein, Alex Aspinall, Michael Bello and several others. In October of 2007, I played bass on the debut of Mel Graves’ piece, From the Past into the New, a jazz suite with five movements. It was a HUGE production with 10 musicians and I think it was an hour and half long. I was honored to be a part of this project and share the stage with such great musicians.
