Militant Babies

Militant Babies is an Austin, Texas indie rock three-piece featuring members or former members of Fivehead, The Golden Apples, The Shindigs, and Death Ray Vision. Militant Babies has performed at a number of clubs around Austin, including Antone’s, Beerland, Carousel Lounge, Club DeVille, Emo’s, Flamingo Cantina, Flipnotics, Hole in the Wall, Room 710, and Stubb’s. MBs also performed at the 2004 SXSW Music Festival, and the 2006 and 2007 North vs South Festivals in Lawrence, Kansas.
The band released its first CD in October 2005. Recorded at Porchlight Studios and mastered at The Launch Pad, the self-titled CD contains 17 original songs ranging from punk to alt-pop. The CD is available at record stores around Austin and online at CD Baby and will be available on iTunes and other online services.
The CD features the songs Back Pocket, Follower, and Looking the Other Way (which each have videos that have appeared on the Austin Music Network/ME Network) as well as Buffalo and Rain Delay.
The band will release its second CD, "We'd Rather Have Nothing Than Settle For Less," in late 2007. Recorded at Launch Pad Studios and mastered at The Launch Pad, the CD contains 14 original songs ranging from punk to alt-pop, plus a cover from the movie "Ishtar.".
