Bio

Johnny Mills has been playing and singing the blues from the Carolinas to Key West for the last 35 years. Growing up in Indian Harbour Beach Florida, he was

influenced by B.B. King at the age of 12. In the late 60's he was taken with the playing of Peter Green and Michael Bloomfield, and the singing of Ray

Charles and others. Johnny's soulfull vocals and authentic guitar playing never fail to let the audience know that they are seeing "The Real Deal". He has

never waivered from his blues roots and never will. With his Gibson Les Paul Custom and Fender amp you are guaranteed to hear some down home blues played

from the heart.

Bobby Mills is Johnny's younger brother. He began to play the harp when he heard his brother make it sound like a real instrument some 31 years ago. He

began to listen to Paul Butterfield and James Cotton, picking up ideas from them. He never wanted to play their songs note for note, but loved the

commitment they performed with, and emulates that unto this day. He also names Ray Charles along with Delbert McClinton as his greatest influences vocally.

Bobby's powerfull vocals and harp playing always excites the crowd. Like his big brother, he wears his heart on his sleeve and gives you everything he's

got.

Butch Ballard grew up one street over from the Mills Brothers. He has known Bob and John since he was six years old. This friendship turned into a musical

partnership some 27 years ago. Originally the bass player for the band, he has since followed his heart and became the other guitar player in the band.

With his Telecaster, he is the perfect compliment to Johnny's Les Paul. He has been playing guitar for 32 years and cites Albert King, Michael Bloomfield

and Robin Ford as his greatest guitar influences. His ear for vocal harmonies and arranging are also a great addition to the group. Like his lifetime

friends, you won't have to guess if he is giving you his best on stage.

Mark Glisson has been playing the bass for 25 years. Most of those years were spent (18 to be exact) with the Legendary Groove Monsters featuring the late

Steve Miller and Dave Fiester. Mark has played in just about every venue imaginable, from stadiums to intimate clubs. Impeccable time and tone are his

trademarks. He is another musician raised on the Space Coast and has been an integral part of the blues scene here for nearly two decades.

Randy Crouch is the drummer in the band. After graduation with a degree in Music he began playing the Space Coast in a variety of bands. He has played with

the Mills Brothers for over 10 years and over a thousand live performances. When not playing he teaches percussion and drums. Randy is your classic pocket

drummer with strong chops and perfect time. He has been playing live for over 25 years.

Together they are the Mills Brothers Blues Band. From soaring instrumentals to smooth vocal renditions of classic blues songs, you get a spontaneous

performance that shows what this group is all about.
